BENEFITS OF YOGA Before you begin the
practice of yoga, clarify your intention. Why do I want to do this? Are
you drawn to yoga to improve your health, to reduce stress, to improve
your flexibility, to become more fit or to flex your psychological and
spiritual muscles? Or, if you're like me you want it all. Your main
intention will determine how your practice will evolve. My intention is to
help you develop a practice that meets your specific needs. May your
practice go well. Many students practice yoga to reduce stress. If you
have any of these stress symptoms, yoga may help to relieve them:
headaches, indigestion, insomnia, back pain, tight neck and shoulders,

compulsive eating and alcohol drinking, critical attitude toward self and
others, grinding teeth, unproductive, nervous, anxiety, bored, edgy,
feeling powerless, feeling overwhelmed, angry, lonely, easily upset,
forgetful, constant worry, inability to make decisions and inability to be
playful. The proven benefits of yoga are:
- increases vitality and energy
