Class Schedule, Description, and Fees

In my classes, you will experience a meditative approach to the postures within the context of Ayurvedic and Mindfulness principles. You will be supported in accepting your body the way it is yet be encouraged to challenge your perceived limitations so you can experience yourself perhaps in a new, exciting and more fulfilling way.

The Free Intro classes are for new students to Yoga. Learn about the benefits of yoga and if Yoga is right for you and what type of Yoga might be best for you. Can’t make one? First class with me is free if you are new to Yoga; otherwise, it is $10. Contact me to register for a class.

Summer Schedule and Fees

All regular classes at Plasha Yoga are course classes instead of open classes so you are with students at your level which is much safer. Our sessions also allow us to develop themes to deepen your experience of the full spectrum of Yoga practices. Unless where noted, Michael Rhadeya Plasha, E-RYT 500, RPYT, YACEP will be teaching all the classes. All teachers are at the 500 hour level or more.

Classes are at Village West, 3330 West 26th St less than a mile west of Peninsula Drive. You will enjoy a larger air-conditioned studio space with ample free parking in quiet and safe surroundings near Wild Birds Unlimited. It is the quietest studio I have had in 20 years!

Slow Flow for Beginners and Beyond: 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
Beyond Beginners Sunset Flow: 7:15 to Sunset 

Beach classes are held on Barracks beach between 1 and 2 at Presque Isle State Park. Park at the Stull Interpretive Center/Nature Store parking lot.  We are to the east of the guarded beach. Bring a blanket, water, sunscreen and bug repellent.  Call 864-1114 or go to my FB Plasha Yoga Studio page after 4:00 p.m. if it looks like it might rain. A message will direct you to the studio or the beach.

 

 Liberty Park9th Annual Yoga at Liberty Park

Park near the playground at Liberty Park off the Bayfront Highway. Classes on the lawn or in Amphitheater if it rains. No need to call.  Rain or shine!

Yoga for Back Pain: 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. only on Aug. 1, 8, 15 and 22. See description on the Aug. 1 Calendar on the right. Cost is $50 for all four or $15 drop in. 

Gentle Beginners and Restorative Yoga: 6:30 to 7:45 p.m.

 Wednesdays
Beginners: 10 to 11:30 a.m. with Chelsea/Karuna

Thursdays
Beyond Beginners: 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.

Summer Fees/Registration Information


Unless otherwise noted, fees are for one class per week, during a session.

Registration fee of $140 due by June 5. Married couples or partners $250. Payment plans are available.

Pro-rating anytime for $12 per class depending on how many weeks.


*Special Discount: Take two yoga classes a week at Beach, Park or Studio for $220 or three classes a week for $320.
Drop-in class (please call ahead): $15 

 Private Lessons (call for appt.): $100/hr. Fast forward your practice and optimize the benefits of yoga with an individualized approach.

To register, fill out the registration form below and send it with your check (made payable to Plasha Yoga) to Michael Plasha 1285 Ponderosa Drive, Erie, PA 16509. Your check will guarantee your space if we receive it before the start of each session and before the class fills. IMPORTANT: Please write the day/time of your class(es) on the check. Missed classes are non-refundable and may be made up during the registered session only if there is room in another class of your level.

Registration

Gentle Beginners, Restorative and Mindfulness Yoga

The yoga of non-doing, restorative yoga, focuses on effortlessness and ease. When the body is fully supported with bolsters and blankets, it releases deeply held tensions. It is for any student who is not pregnant and without serious back conditions like spondylolistheses, spondylolysis or diagnosed disc disease. It can be excellent for students recovering from injuries and managing chronic diseases.

Beginners (Learning Hatha 1)

For new beginners or those who need a refresher. A thorough and safe introduction in yoga including modifications, adaptations, and contraindications.

Slow Flow for Beginners and Beyond (Hatha 1 and 2)

Slow and gentle Vinyasas for overall wellness and specific health conditions.

Beyond Beginners (Hatha 1-2)

For experienced beginners. Please check with me if you are not sure. Familiarity with contraindications, stages and modifications is necessary related to beginner level (Hatha 1)postures and introduction or review of new Hatha 2 practices like chanting, mantras, more advanced pranayama and asanas. Multi-level moderate flows are included.

Vigorous Vinyasa (Hatha 2-3)

This is for experienced beginners who like longer and more challenging flows and transitions based on the Ashtanga primary and secondary series.

Private Lessons / Yoga Parties and Events

I am available for private Prenatal, Ayurveda and Yoga Therapy consultations and classes for $100 an hour. Click here for more information. A lower rate is available for regular privates and semi-privates. Fast-forward your practice and optimize the benefits of yoga by creating an individualized and therapeutic approach.
